Winter Wonderland Photo Hike
January 20, 2024
Several MVPC photographers went along on a Winter Wonderland Photo Hike sponsored by the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge on Saturday. Club member Don Tredinnick—a volunteer for the Refuge—led the walk over and around the Old Cedar Avenue Bridge in Bloomington. Despite the cold we had a blast, capturing images of the snow-covered river, ice crystals, animal tracks and—believe it or not—a penguin! Thanks to Don for bringing the penguin, and sharing tips on composition and shooting in cold, snowy conditions. – Phil Davies
