Elevate Your Photography Skills

Minnesota Valley Photography Club members engage in friendly competition by submitting images to club salons, a monthly forum where we showcase our photographs and share ideas.

Salons provide us with a unique opportunity to get feedback on our images and appreciate the artistry of our peers in a congenial, constructive setting. Salon topics organized around specific themes, genres, or techniques encourage artistic exploration and risk taking.

Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned professional, you’ll find salons an avenue for honing our skills, gaining insights into different aspects of photography, and connecting with fellow photographers.

See the salon rules for more information on participating in MVPC salons.

Resources to help you get the most out of the salon experiences are here.

TCACCC

MVPC also belongs to the Twin Cities Area Council of Camera CLubs (TCACCC), an organization of over 20 member clubs in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area.

TCACCC “promotes continuing education and fellowship for those interested in all aspects of photography”. The TCACCC holds an annual Spring Break in March or April every year that includes an annual interclub competition for its club members and their members. These competitions are free to MVPC members.

Visit the TCACCC website to learn more about their yearly activities.

Our TCACCC Gallery shows the twenty (20) images our club has submitted to the TCACCC in each of the past years.

PSA

MVPC is a member of the Photographic Societey of America (PSA), one of the largest non-profit organizations for photographers and photographic organizations.

The PSA holds competitions throughout the year for individual members and clubs in both print and digital format. MVPC has chosen to participate in 5 digital divisions: nature, travel, journalism, color and monochrome. Visit the PSA Website for more information. These competitions are free to MVPC members.

The competition is a wonderful opportunity for our members to learn from a wider group of photographers and be recognized on a larger scale.

Go to the Competition Resources page for the rules on submitting images to the PSA competitions.
