MVPC Salons

We hold salon competitions every 4th Thursday of the month from September through May unless otherwise noted on the calendar, as part of our monthly meetings. Six alternating digital and print salons are held every month, The salon categories are:

• Color Topic
• Color Open
• Monochrome Topic
• Monochrome Open
• Novice Topic
• Novice Open

Topics for the Topic salons are determined the previous year by club vote. See the salon schedule for this year’s topics.

Images submitted by our members are critiqued and scored by an experienced photographer from outside the club. The scores of each member are accumulated throughout the salon year and are used to determine awards given at the end of the year.
