Urban Nights, the first in the Photographer’s Playground series of 2024 saw the MVPC members doing night photography in Minneapolis – photographing various bridges, Boom Island Lighthouse, Grainbelt Beer Sign, and other signs and buildings.

Bright city lights–a fun photo walk in downtown Minneapolis

Neon signs lit up a misty Wednesday evening on Minneapolis’ historic riverfront, the setting for an MVPC photo walk led by professional photographer and Club member Don Tredinnick. The outing capturing the iconic Grain Belt Beer sign, the Stone Arch Bridge and multi-hued, blinking lights atop buildings was the first this year in a series of Photographer’s Playground mini-workshops that bring Club members together to have fun experimenting with different photographic genres and techniques. – Phil Davies
