NOV 13 - New WEBSITE LAUNCHED

Welcome to the new MVPC website. We completely refreshed our website to give you a much better browsing experience and to better protect your images. Let us know what you think, what you like and what you don’t like, in the ‘Comments’ page.

Like most websites, you will not get instructions on how to navigate the site. If you find areas where you are having problems navigating, contact the [email protected]. Let us know what you’re having problems with, and we will fix it.

Some of the features of the new site are:

    • Secure – The website is hosted in a secured environment and the website itself is locked down; copy and paste of images is not allowed.

    • Mobile-friendly – You can now browse the site on your tablet or your phone. However, we have not tested the site on all tablets and phones. Let us know via the ‘Comments’ page if you run into problems.

    • Informative – The Home Page contains a section called “What’s Happening / What’s News”. This section provides a quick glance of what’s happened and what’s happening in the club. Web updates will also be announced in this section. The Eagan Events are also featured in the Home page so people interested in photographing the Eagan events can find out what’s happening in Eagan.

    • Showcases – Best in Shows for the whole year are featured on the Home page. There are galleries for all the Salons – MVPC, PSA, N4C, and TCACCC. Winning MVPC Salon images for the month are also featured in the Salon page.

    • Events – We will feature events on their own pages, with write-ups and images from each event. The Photographer’s Playground is a monthly event led by Don Tredinnick. Check the ‘Photographer’s Playground” page regularly to see what Don has in store for us each month.

    • Resources – We have reorganized our resources to make it easier to find documents or videos. They are organized by what we do as photographers – plan, shoot, post process, and compete. Additional resources like equipment, club documents and links to other websites are also included.

    • Comments – We added a Comments page so we can have ongoing discussions on what we can do to improve the club and this website. Send us your suggestions!
